Converge MidAtlantic Church Planter Assessment Center is a four day intensive experience for church planting candidates (for church planter candidate and spouse). Assessment Centers are held 6-8 times/year, in various locations around the country, and are conducted by ConvergeUSA, Converge MidAtlantic/Converge Worldwide National church planting leadership team.
Typically twelve to fifteen church planting candidate couples will be involved in an assessment center, along with a team of ten to fifteen assessors. Church Planting candidates will go through a variety of experiences during the four day assessment event, including preaching, personal interviews, and group activities. Each candidate couple will also complete various personality and leadership profiles prior to the event. The outcome of this unique opportunity will be one of four decisions:
- recommended for church planting
- conditionally recommended
- recommended with strong conditions
- not recommended for church planting
ConvergeUSA assessment centers have become one of the benchmark ministries serving potential church planting candidates. The assessment center serves as an excellent introduction into the values and strategies of Converge MidAtlantic/Converge Worldwide church planting, and it serves as a door through which many couples enter into the church planting journey with Converge MidAtlantic.
The assessment center fee is currently $550. For couples who are sponsored by Converge MidAtlantic, some scholarship money is available. Some additional travel or lodging expenses may also be covered by Converge MidAtlantic. A $100 deposit is required along with your application.
