Our Vision
Converge MidAtlantic Women's Ministries exists to enable and empower every woman in Converge MidAtlantic member churches and beyond, to become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide Converge MidAtlantic member churches with strategic and focused, culturally relevant women's ministry resources and training which that enable women in our churches and communities to grow spiritually, reach out to others meaningfully, fellowship joyfully, and learn in order to serve and minister effectively.
Our Key Strategies
- To provide ongoing venues for women & women's ministry leaders to network together during the year.
- To focus on training and equipping of women's ministry leaders for local church ministry, primarily through networking, specialized training events and a school for women.
- To offer events that provide for fellowship, training, and spiritual growth.
School of Women's Ministries
We are especially excited about our School of Women's Ministries. This is a two year program that ladies undertake to learn how to more effectively minister to women with CONFIDENCE and COMPETENCE. Those completing the course work receive Women's Ministry Specialist certificates. Our goal is to make affordable, accessible, and applicable training available to every woman who desires it! Our first School of Women's Ministries was completed on 5/1/2004. Graduates included Forty-Eight women from six states. The Baptist General Conference has held 10 SWM's in various districts across the United States, with an 11th currently in session in the Mideast and two more slated to begin in May (MN) and September (CA). To date, 473 women have received certificates as women's ministries specialists.
