LeadNet Teams serve as a Networking Vehicle for Pastor's Wives
It was the dream of Dawn Sheveland, wife of Baptist General Conference President Jerry Sheveland, that pastor's wives would have a support system, just like their pastor husbands do. Out of that dream has come LeadNet, the off shoot of Lead Teams for pastors. In Converge MidAtlantic, Joan Schroeder has taken the leadership role in bringing LeadNet to fruition.
What is LeadNet? It is a safe place for senior pastors’ wives to get together for a day or an overnight to share, pray, study, kick back and have fun together and be renewed in support of their husband's ministries as well as fortified to go out and continue their own ministry for God.
In Converge MidAtlantic, two LeadNet teams are currently meeting, one in the Metro D.C. area and one in Northeast Ohio. Senior Pastors’ wives in these areas are meeting regularly to learn and encourage each other and, as these pictures show, there has also been time for fun and relaxation!
Since these teams are new, they are being organized around the needs of senior pastors’ wives currently. Any pastor's wife who would like to visit or participate a LeadNet meeting is welcome!
For future LeadNet meeting dates and information, go to the Calendar of Events on this website where they will be posted as they are scheduled.
